However, probably the most significant impact we can have, is associated with the elimination of DH-ASV’s in gas lift completions. The requirement for a DH-ASV has a significant effect on the completion installation time and cost. Especially in mature developments where the wells have to be recompleted to install a DH-ASV. The PTC modular actuated surface annulus safety valves (M-SAS), when used in conjunction with our well barrier approved Safelift downhole gas lift valves, provides a viable and economical alternative to the requirement for a DH-ASV. The system is currently in use in both the UKCS and Norwegian sectors of the North Sea.
