The SafeLift S and ISOLift S are shearable versions of the orifice valves, which means the tubing and annulus can be tested without having to install and retrieve dummy gas lift valves.
The PTC SafeLift S / ISOLift S designs are differentiated in that the patented shear system is external to the valves. A shear pinned rod simply holds the check valve on seat from below and is sheared as a result of differential pressure from the annulus to the tubing.
This means our Venturi / PTC Stealth orifices can be deployed even in Shearable valves and overcomes many of the other problems faced by traditional designs:

In some traditional designs the shear mechanism is internal to the valve.
- Debris from shear mechanism can subsequently damage the seal. -
In some traditional designs the shear mechanism provides the initial seal.
- The check valve is initially held open.
- Resulting in potential ingress of damaging well fluids to valv. - In some traditional designs Venturi orifice valves cannot be specified.
