These systems have been developed for cases where side pocket mandrels or sliding sleeves have not been installed but gas lift or jet pump lift is subsequently recognised as necessary. Two options are available:
Sliding Sleeve Gas Lift Valve
This patented system enables a 1" Safelift or ISO Lift gas lift operating valve to be set within any sliding sleeves that might pre exist in the completion.
Mini SPM solution
This system utilises nominal; 2/3/8" side pocket mandrels (SPM’s) ( 1" pocket x 4.25" major OD) set in straddle assemblies across holes that have been punched in the tubing. The system can be installed in 5 ½" tubing completions.
The advantage the mini SPM solution offers over the Sliding sleeve options is that tools can still be run through the SPM.
Sliding Sleeve Gas Lift Valve
This patented system enables a 1" Safelift or ISO Lift gas lift operating valve to be set within any sliding sleeves that might pre exist in the completion.
Straddle gas lift valve
Alternatively the 1" gas lift valve assembly can be incorporated in a straddle which can be can be retrofitted across holes that have been punched in the tubing, or across a damaged side pocket mandrel. In this case the smallest straddle OD would be 3 ½".
